The past few years for Kevin have been a steady focus on plated food on his website www.kevinclarkedibles.com. Everything from pizza to gourmet entrees to candy. But we all felt it was time to get some new beverage shots under the studio’s belt.
As luck would have it, one of our headshot clients was chatting with Trish while getting her hair and makeup done and mentioned that her family owned a old fashioned botanically brewed soda pop company. Not long later, she brought in several of the bottles for us to sample and also photograph. It was perfect timing, especially since the design and packaging of their product was very classic and unique for this time.
When photographing the product, Kevin set out to recreate the classic yet industrial feel that the bottles were designed with. Something that we hadn’t tried with drink shots as of yet. Here’s the results of that shoot.

As soon as this shot was complete, it was already time for more as Kevin aimed his camera at his personal favourite, Scotch. This Balvenie shot (below) was meant to compliment the Fentimans shot, but also have it’s own feel as the product itself requires a different style to convey the proper message and hit the right market.

Since then we’ve got plans to shoot some wine (that’s happening today in fact) and also some beer which we’ll be posting to the www.kevinclarkedibles.com website soon. These two shots can be found there along with other new work you may not have seen if you haven’t visited in awhile.
The Fentimans Soda’s are currently chilling in the fridge and we’ll be giving them a taste test later this afternoon. I bet they’re going taste just as good as the bottles look cool.
